What You're Doing
Draft a 12-player roster from franchise-decade player pools. Stay under a $150 salary cap, then sim a full season and see how many wins your team can get.
How Drafting Works
- Each round gives you a team and decade constraint
- Pick one eligible player from that pool
- Fill all 12 roster spots before you run out of budget
- When your roster is complete, run the season sim

A Few Tips
- Don't spend your whole budget early — save room for later rounds
- Make sure you can fill every position before the draft ends
- Strong hitters across the lineup matter more than one superstar
- Starting pitching has the biggest impact on run prevention
- Use your team spin or decade spin if a round looks thin (one of each per draft)

- Do I need an account?
- No for today's Daily Nine, free draft, and challenges. Sign in to submit an official Daily Nine score, track your streak, and play past puzzles.
- What is Daily Nine?
- A shared daily roster puzzle. Everyone gets the same twelve team-and-decade constraints. Draft, sim, and see how your projected wins rank.
- How does scoring work?
- Your score is projected wins from a season sim. Tiebreakers: remaining budget (higher wins), then total salary used (lower wins).
- Can I challenge friends?
- Yes. Save a roster and send a challenge link. Your friend drafts a team and you play a 1-, 3-, 5-, or 7-game series.
- Where does the player data come from?
- Decade-cards are built from MLB historical data (Lahman / Retrosheet). Each card represents a player's production with a franchise in a decade.
